Studio One is the top of the old record label in Jamaica, which has its own history since 1950's.
It was established by Sir Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd, who is reffered as the father of reggae by people.
It is the most important legendary studio in Jamaica since artists and musicians like Bob Marley, Lee Perry, and Burning Spear have learned about music there and thereafter they walked their own ways.
Many reggae artists and musicians say that Studio One is the reggae university that is managed by Principal Sir Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd and it is said Studio One is the Motown of reggae all over the world. |
