Toots Hibbert was imprisoned for nearly one and half year on drugs possession charges, following release from jail he started to record hit songs including "54-46 was my number" for Leslie Kong.
The song has always beeen regareded as a true reggae classic and versioned many times by various producers. Between 2010 and 2011, Peckings label released series of hit songs on the rhythm and it featured Macka B, Gappy Ranks and others. |
