The successfull singer, Marcia Griffiths, who has been active in the Jamaican music scene form the 60's to the present, recorded a song 'Feel Like Jumping' at Studio One in 1968 and the song became her first hit. Like other Studio One ryhthms, the song has been versioned many times for the coming decades.

During the 80's digital dancehall period, 'Boops' by Super Cat on Techniques label became a massive hit on this rhythm. Also 'One Scotch' by Admiral Bailey & Chaka Demus and 'Don't Touch My Boops' by King Kong on Jammys label got popularized. In the millennium, Juke Boxx also versioned the rhythm.
