Dancehall expert Pad Anthony left so many hit tunes for Jammy at the golden age of the label in the 80’s. “Ruff A Them” is a slightly Roots orientated killer rhythm with a twinkle of Jammy’s Dancehall essence to it. Pad Anthony going right in showcasing his dazzling melody sense.

Recorded in 1974, this is Junior Murvin's first Roots tune ever. Having always been sought after by collectors, this song is possibly the ultimate classic. This is a completely different take from the one Junior Murvin recorded for Lee Perry in 1977 for the “Police and Thieves” LP distributed by Island. Undoubtedly this is one of Murvin’s best tunes, which should be in every collector’s record box.

Trinidad born legendary guitarist, Lynn Taitt, who brought the first wave of Rocksteady to the Island, and Gladdy Anderson who is well known for a Skatalites' pianist, they both got together to record this Rocksteady instrumental album 'Glad Sounds' at Federal Studio in 1968. Released from the Merritone label, which was managed under the Federal. The album depicts the hay day and best sound of Rocksteady as well as label itself. First time to be reissued by Dub Store Records. The forth reissue of the Story Of Federal program by Dub Store Records. The original UK issue was released on the Big Shot label with a different jacket design. Album tracks consist mainly of cover versions of popular tracks, which were produced by Coxsone Dodd, Bunny Lee and Sonia Pottinger. Lynn Taitt and Gladstone Anderson added gentle flavors to their versions by their distinctive instrumental plays. Also Federal's recording facility made possible to maintain this sound quality. Bunny produced a string of hits during the dance hall explosion of eighties where, backed by The Roots Radics, he continued to show the new generation how it should be done. The greatest of his dance hall style records was the self explanatory 'Rule Dance Hall' from 1987 originally released on the album of the same name and subsequently issued as a seven inch single. Ever since his career bean in the early 80’s, the veteran Pad Anthony has always played an important role at frontline of the Dancehall music even to date. This previously unreleased material has only been heard on dubplates and Dub Store Records is proud to finally reissue this gem. Previously unreleased material from Frankie Wilmott recorded straight from the master tape. Known for his 80’s classics such as “Sensimilla” and “Money Gone Down The Drain”, Frankie has been passionately supported from Dancehall fans across the globe. “Why Won’t You Come” features a tight rhythm based around the warm bassline and Frankie’s sensitive vocal excellently resonate throughout the track.

A classic Reggae Soul tune by Derrick Harriott is now reissued in an extended version which is connected to a tender dub afterword. The B-side features a unique and mysterious Funky Reggae instrumental by Crystal Generation, the special unit by Crystalites and Now Generation, which gave a taste of the new wave of Reggae that would arrive later in the decade.

One of the most accomplished producers of Dancehall era, Philip 'Fatis' Burrell who launched Vena label in the 80's and succeeded onto Xterminator until milleniums. Known for his works for Joe Gibbs in the 70's, a highly significant deejay Trinity had a lesser know phase as a singer Junior Brammer in the 80's. Pricess Street is cryptic but an exquisite killer of Brammer projecting his sense of melodies as well as cool and refined voice.

'The Exit' by Dennis Brown is a tough song on a classic dancehall rhythm 'Screechie Across The Border', which often regarded as one of the best 80's dancehall rhythms.
Comparing to its original – 'Screechie Across The Border' by Courtney Melody, it sounds a little less dynamic but the reconstructed rhythm based on pensive minor chords perfectly matches to the singer's profound vocal and lyrics.

Wayne Simth unexpectedly appeared on the top of dancehall scene with Jammys' monster rhythm 'Sleng Teng' in the mid 80's at one burst. Hardcore dancehall fans will recognize this song 'My Lord My God' on 'Screechie Across The Border' rhythm is one of the most popular songs within his Jammys' catalogue.

Tonto Irie recorded many songs on popular Jammys' rhythms as one of demanded deejays at that time.
'Life Story' was on side B of 12inch vinyl - "Wayne Smith - Icky All Over" on Greensleeves label. You might notice that this song on 'Sleng Teng' rhythm was specially edited and arranged just only for Tonto Irie's performance.

Although Super Black is known for his hits "Deh Wid You", "Rambo We Rambo" at Jammys, the artist also fit well with the Photographer label where he put out a superb song "Just Like A Magic". Among the 80's catalogue of King Tubby, "Rising Star" is very exceptional and features a unique groove, which is created by the solid bass line to bring out the best of Super Black's appealing voice.

Wayne Smith’s ‘My Sweet Love’ is still gaining its reputation and popularity by the 80’s dancehall listeners nowadays. This Jammys’ distinguishing digital sound can be characterized by its wavy base melody so Wayne Smith’s vocal and lyrics can perfectly fits to the rhythm to make his sweet love song convincing.

Super Black, who had very characteristic voice like Wayne Smith and Pad Anthony, released a few memorable songs in the late 80’s. Using his voice as a weapon, here he openly sings about his love relationship with his ex-girl friend.

Little John, who was one of the most remarkable figures at various sound system dances for his talent, delivers sorrowful vocal with his distinctive lyrical flow on this song ‘Come Do It To Me’. Recorded to a surging and whirling digital dancehall rhythm track ‘Screechie Across The Border’.

Little John praises King Jammys Super Power with his melancholy vocal and serious lyrics. Anthony Malvo and Collin Roach, who both recorded at King Jammys Recording Studio regularly, sings world renowned song 'We Are The World' in combination.
