The big hit Ska classic everybody loves, sang by one of the top groups of the 60’s!! Along with the Maytals and the Wailers, the Blues Busters were one of the top groups at the time, however commercially they were going more of a mainstream than the others. Since their career goes way back in the late 50’s, they must have been idolized by so many of those who made their debut later in the Ska era. This is an essential mainstream Ska classic by the brilliantly skilled duo in their best form backed by no other than Byron Lee.

Keith & Tex - Hypnotizing Eyes / Down The Street
Move & Groove / Dub Store Records JPN 1968
N/A
By Keith & Tex, a vocal duo who represented Derrick Harriott's production, 「Hypnotizing Eyes」 was a hugely popular tune released at the end of Rocksteady era. The B-side,「Down The Street」was a pioneering sound of up-tempo Reggae that became the major style in 1969. From 1968 to 69, they recorded enough songs to make an album and amazingly all of them were top-notch. Re-issued original songs on both sides.
Al Campbell - Don't Take Your Gun To Town / King Jammy - Don't Take Your Gun To Town Version
Jammys / Dub Store Records JPN 1988
¥1380 (US$8.94)
Slightly different cut to “Jack Slick” originally released on Live & Love 12” only, this Al Campbell vocal is highly refined and soulful deploring the use of guns and its consequences. A late 80’s killer digital.
Prince Far I - Psalm 87 / Black Oney - Festival 75
Book Of Psalm / Bond Export / Deeper Knowledge US 1975
¥1180 ¥1080 (US$7.00)
By special request and popular demand, here's the other two cuts to Black Oney's "Jah Jah Send the Parson (Rasta Move)." Since we reissued that single a couple years ago, it's been one of the most popular tunes in our catalog. By now releasing the other two cuts on the rhythm seemed overdue, so here they are. Prince Far I's cut appeared on his "Psalms For I" LP on the Carib Gems label, while Black Oney's other cut on the rhythm was made specifically for entry in the 1975 Jamaican Festival Song contest, and only ever released on a tiny blank label pressing. Prince Far I recites Psalm 87 over a more spare dub-style mix of the rhythm, while Oney sings on a more straight mix. All three tunes were made in 1975.
Mojo Blue - Fight The Rasses / Rasses In Dub
Uprising / Deeper Knowledge US 197-
¥1180 (US$7.65)
More deeply rare roots from the mid '70s, this is the deejay version to Fulk (Livingston) Reid's "Golden Daffodils", by Mojo Blue aka Jah Mojo. The full deejay piece was never released and only played on dubplate (until now!), while the dub to the deejay version was paired with the "Golden Daffodils" vocal on the original Wildflower 7", and there mistakenly credited to Brigadier Jerry.
¥3680 (US$23.85)
Miraculously rare and seriously obscure killer dubs… one of the very few hard core seventies dub albums mixed by Errol Brown.
A selection of solid dubs originally recorded by BB Seaton at Duke Reid’s legendary Treasure Isle studio and mixed in-house by the Duke’s nephew Errol Brown. A radical departure for all concerned this bold dub album was never officially released although a few clandestine copies reputedly did the New York rounds at the time
Various - Scotch Bonnet Presents: Puffers Choice

Glasgow based champion sound Mungo's Hi Fi dropping first ever compilation album for their Scotch Bonnet imprint. Including new and rare works from artists who influenced the sounds of the label such as Disrupt (Jahtari), Prince Fatty, O.B.F, Stalawa, Danny T, Bim One Productions and more. Of course Mungo's included three massive pieces of their own as well. Loving the well Scottish artwork done by Ellen of My Lord too. Pure niceness!
