A harmonica instrumental version of the all time favorite, Summertime and instrumental cover version of the Soul classic. Both are great interpretations of instrumental covers that are ranked definitely as two of the greatest Rocksteady tunes. Taken straight from its master tape, Summertime is a masterpiece that condensed the splendor of the blinded harmonica maestro and famed vocalist, Roy Richards. Originally released in 1968 by Young Holt Unlimited and scored a big hit, this great cover of the Soul classic, which sounds easily fitting the pattern of Sir Coxsone’s taste who was the huge fan of US hits, was played loosely and effortlessly by then newly formed Sound Dimension.

This funky reggae classic go way beyond the boundary of reggae music and reaching to every music lover out there. Beginning with the killer drum break, the Aretha Franklin cover is built to move everyone’s body! Backed with slick instrumentals produced by Lloyd Charmers, it’s about time this 7” gets reissued.

One of the later productions from the Chung brothers and it’s the ultimate reggae soul sound that they wanted to achieve. Although Antrim and other Chung productions produced reggae, it’s clear that they had US sounds such as soul and funk on their horizon.

Although it had never been released back then, Chris Wilson and the Heartbeat crew compiled this as a part of compilation series in the 90’s. The great Mr. Coxsone Dodd knew what's going on; as a spice, he occasionally released some unpublished materials. Like the name "Soulettes" suggests, this type of Soul music is their specialty and this is a female vocal Ska masterpiece.

Recorded at the same time as The Crashers “Musical Fight” and it’s previously unreleased material. In early 1969 when the second press of Stranger Cole & Patsy’s “True Love” came out, the version was pressed on the B-side. The reason this vocal never came out is still unknown. Backed with Sonia’s favourite The Conquerors good 69’ reggae.

Recorded in 1973 accompanied by the Wailers, this truly rare masterpiece was fronted by Don Hutson, an executive of the severe Rastafarian organization, Twelve Tribes of Israel. Produced by former Jamaican National Football Team player, Allan ‘Skill’ Cole, it was released by Tuff Gong in 1973 and known as an extremely rare shot that collectors have been searching for all over the place. This beautifully sparkling classic spiritual reggae piece is undoubtedly one of the top 10s released in 1973. If you love reggae, we presume that you won’t be able to avoid this masterpiece.

Nitty Gritty output his hit songs like 'Hog In A Minty' and 'Run Down The World' at Jammys and he had chemistry with minor chord digital rhythms. 'Good Morning Teacher' on 'Stalag' rhythm is a superb song showcases his unique vocal style and lyrics.

In 1967 Ras Michael began to play occasional recording sessions for Clement ‘Coxsone’ Dodd with Jackie Mittoo and Soul Vendors at Studio One. Instead of getting paid for his work Ras Michael requested studio time for recordings for his own Zion Disc productions as the Sons of Negus Churchical Host. Seven inch releases at Zion Disc in 1967 and 1968, included ‘A Psalm Of Praises To The Most High’, ‘Come Down’, ‘King’s Highway’ to name a few, and all were unequivocal in form and content. The records did not trouble charts and none were released outside of Kingston…

Known for his 80’s classics such as “Sensimilla” and “Money Gone Down The Drain”, Frankie has been passionately supported from Dancehall fans across the globe. “Why Won’t You Come” features a tight rhythm based around the warm bassline and Frankie’s sensitive vocal excellently resonate throughout the track.

A debut song by Tartans, the group consisted of Prince Lincoln, Cedric Myton, Devon Russell and Berg Lewis. Beautiful Rocksteady songs on both sides. Interestingly, the master tape was credited under the name of “Eufhonies” instead of Tartans.
