One tough rhythm, five vocal cuts (one previously unreleased!) and two different dub versions, spread across two twelve-inches. Produced at Channel 1 in the mid '80s, then voiced in New York, this Mikey Jarrett production is one of our favorite heavy rhythms of its era.

The next Dub Irator twelve is back to back heat, and two of the rarest tunes from the Jah Life catalog. Jug Head's tune is a 1984 roots heater, Ossie D & Stevie G's tune is late '80s one-away digital fire, and both sides with dubs!

Michael Palmer's "Different Strokes" originally appeared on Tasha 7" in JA, as well on an obscure compilation LP in NYC.

Steve Knight's "Love Me Entertainment" originally appeared only on his very rare "Orphan Child" LP, again issued only in NYC.

"Rain from the Sky" by Wayne Smith, and "Ain't No Me" by Patrick Andy. Killer synths on top of a rock solid riddim, again by the Gifted Roots Band. All together, four vocals, three dubs, two riddims, all killer.

A massive unreleased tune from Flick Wilson, cut at Channel 1 around 1984. The backing band sounds a lot like the Gifted Roots Band who were resident at Channel 1 around this time. We are big fans of Flick and feel he was really under-recorded, so unearthing this gem was a pleasure, killer vocal and a rock-hard riddim.

Previously unreleased material from Frankie Wilmott recorded straight from the master tape. Known for his 80’s classics such as “Sensimilla” and “Money Gone Down The Drain”, Frankie has been passionately supported from Dancehall fans across the globe. “Why Won’t You Come” features a tight rhythm based around the warm bassline and Frankie’s sensitive vocal excellently resonate throughout the track.

You won't be able to tell much about Jammys without speaking about artists like Wayne Smith! Riding on the same rhythm as "Take A Trip" included in a classic album "Youthman Skanking" released prior to his "Sleng Teng" success, this is the unreleased version recorded direct from the master tape.

From the mid 1980's straight thru until the early 90's, Choppers were steady releasing tunes both in Jamaica and NYC, and from young upcoming artists and veterans alike. 'Original Melody' is from Bobby Melody, letting you know none a them a ruff like the original! We were saddened by Bobby's recent passing, but let this tune serve as a reminder of what a great singer he was. This tune is backed with its own unique and wicked dub, a different mix to the dub side of 'Rasta Cowboy', which uses the same rhythm.

From the mid '80s, a cut on Choppers' own wicked lick of Channel One's "fight fight" riddim. Chopper's lick was laid and mixed at Channel 1 with the Black Roots Band aka Gifted Roots Band. The tune is from Lionel 'Ganja' Barrett, himself a member of the Chopper crew, and one of the first artists released on the label. 'Rasta Cowboy' is his signature tune, an ode to a self-reliant cowboy-like life.
